The Wikimedia projects are written, edited and curated by volunteers who are just like you. There are many ways to get involved and activities to suit the interests of everybody. Whether you are new to the idea of editing Wikipedia or an established community member we’d love for you to get involved and shape the sum of all human knowledge.

Volunteer

There are many ways to volunteer with Wikimedia UK, including editing, training and running events.

Become a member

Members of Wikimedia UK can stand for the Board of Trustees, vote in the AGM, apply for Project Grants, and can borrow equipment.

Join an event

Experienced editors and newcomers can contribute to the Wikimedia projects together.

Grants and scholarships

Wikimedia UK runs a small grants programme open to everyone. You can apply for grants towards your efforts to improve the Wikimedia projects, or to help others.

Partner organisations

We can offer support and advice to volunteer and staff teams engaging with the Wikimedia projects, including offering training where our strategic aims align.
