Wikimedia UK has in the past offered scholarships to enable the attendance of conferences and meetings. These cover the costs of traveling, accommodation, subsistence and registration fees. These were offered in a competitive process whereby anyone could apply for the scholarships, which were then judged by an ad-hoc small panel of Wikimedia UK volunteers, board members and staff.
