Incentivise the writing of important articles on Wikipedia by running a competition, with the winners getting some sort of prize. Examples of appropriate collections would be wikipedia:Wikipedia:Vital articles, meta:List of articles every Wikipedia should have, wikipedia:Wikipedia:Vital articles/Level/2, wikipedia:Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Core topics, ... Running a competition over the summer, when people generally have more time, would be good.
Benefits[edit | edit source]
These are the "most important" articles for an encyclopaedia, so Wikipedia should have good articles on them. A competition is a good way to encourage the writing of these articles.
Financial requirements[edit | edit source]
Prizes would be required, of nominal values. These could either be supplied by the chapter, or by external donors.
