Transport

From across the Severn

I'll be travelling from Bristol, and plan to take the train. Depending on the location of the event, I expect to be travelling as follows (via an advance connecting service to get me to Bristol Temple Meads):

  • Sat 07:54 Bristol Temple Meads [BRI] → Cardiff Central [CDF] 08:43
  • Sun 17:40 Cardiff Central [CDF] → Bristol Temple Meads [BRI] 18:32

Depending on whether I stay overnight in Cardiff or not, I could possibly be making return trips on the Sat night/Sun morning. If anyone else attending the event expects to share any of this journey, perhaps we could meet and try to bag a wiki-table in the same carriage. Doing this would also allow easy sharing of taxi/bus fares (if required). Cheers. -- Trevj (talk) 12:35, 22 October 2013 (UTC)

Quick update: not certain now whether taking the train or the car. -- Trevj (talk) 06:37, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Attendance

It looks as if there are now enough of us for this to hopefully go ahead as planned. By when are we expected to be made aware of decisions regarding attendance, please? Also, in the hypothetical case of attending and requiring accommodation, what's the likelihood of being able to pay the difference above a single room price in order that 2 family members (1 adult, 1 child) share the room for a quick "goodnight" in person rather than over the phone? Thanks in advance. -- Trevj (talk) 19:28, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
