Task : Planning a service to commemorate the First World War:

In planning the service, you need to decide what the narrative of the service needs to be. What do you want it to say about God and what feelings might your congregation come with? Decide those elements between yourselves and then we will begin to build in the key elements of the service.

12 June 2014 Hello fellow students what ideas for this service? We are holding one in our Benefice in August, an afternoon service with tea to follow! Do you think a morning, afternoon or evening service of Common Worship or BCP would be most fitting? Would this be a service both of remembrance and thanksgiving? Hymns, readings, perhaps poems and a two minute silence with the "we shall remember them" sentences before. I will give thought to hymns etc, but look forward to any ideas.
