If you attended EduWiki 2014 and/or worked on the team organising the conference, please feel free to add you feedback below or on the talk page.

Strengths Weaknesses
  • Continuity from EduWiki 2012 and 2013
  • Good number of delegates
  • Balanced programme of keynotes, speakers and workshops
  • Involvement of Wikipedia Education Collaborative
  • Tie-ins with other Wikimedia-related Edinburgh events
  • Strong volunteer support
  • Location and venue
  • Organisations on the day was good.
  • International and Foundation participation
  • The workshops gave a practical outcome to the day
  • Friendly atmosphere.
  • Having it in Scotland brought new people.
  • There could be more active UK Wikimedians present
  • Long way to come for one day. Perhaps two days is better or smaller day ones twice a year?
  • Having the social events so far away was a mistake. People disappeared.
  • Needs to be advertised way in advance to get people booking.
Opportunities Threats
  • Using Wikimania 2014 to capacity build towards EduWiki 2014
  • Showcase a variety of projects happening in the UK
  • Developing a larger cohort of Campus Ambassadors
  • Engaging existing and new educators who want to use Wikipedia in their classroom
  • International networking with/for overseas Wikipedia Education programme leaders
  • A chance to extend to their areas of the Education world with a focus on a different area?
  • A Chance to put the WMUK flag in the ground in a new area of the country or work.
  • Need to piggy back it onto the Educations Comm meeting to be really effective.
  • Not engaging enough local volunteers into the event
  • It is expensive in terms of staff time.
  • Need demonstrable outcomes or will be seen as a talking shop.
  • What will happen as a result of it?
  • How can this be tracked and proved?
  • What are the ambitions? No's of Ambassadors, Scottish Schools project?
  • If Higher Ed again next year how do you make it different and get other sectors involved?
