- Briefly describe the issue or problem that motivates this application. What needs are you meeting?
- Documenting monuments in Syria, and adding them to Wikimedia Commons/
- Describe project activities. What will you use the funding to do?
- Funding will be used to distribute prizes to winning photographs in the Wiki Loves Monuments competition in Syria. Prizes are ($150, $100, and $50 for the top three photos, in addition to another $50 prize for most useful photograph). Transfers
- Describe your plan for evaluating this project. How will you measure success? What types of things will you measure (e.g. content, participants)?
- Number of participants: 20 (Actual number 15)
- Number of photos uploaded to Wikimedia Commons: 100 (Actual 128)
- Number of photos used on Wikimedia projects: 20 (Actual 2 thus far)
- Identify key people involved in this project. How will or could the wider Wikimedian community be involved?

- What targets have you set? What will you measure?
- Our targets are to increase the availability of photographs of Syrian monuments. We will measure the number of contributors, the number of photos uploaded, and their use in Wikimedia projects.
- What contribution will the project make to our strategic goals?
- Expanding the diversity of content across Wikimedia projects

- Other volunteers have evaluated the photos and picked the winners.

- WMUK funds will be used to cover the prize money. The full sum to be transferred to me, for me to distribute onwards to the winners.
