Project description

Briefly describe the issue or problem that motivates this application. What needs are you meeting?
In the project different Wikimepedians from different countries that are involved in lgbt issues will come together to take part in a human rights conference and other events of Europride. We will also discuss challenges in the home communities, write articles and upload pictures from Europride.
Describe project activities. What will you use the funding to do?
The funding would be to cover the flight costs for Joel Mitchel to Stockholm. If it is possible it would be great to cover 30 Euros per night for three nights for lodging as well.
Describe your plan for evaluating this project. How will you measure success? What types of things will you measure (e.g. content, participants)?
As last year the results will be collected under a results page on the project page. See Meta: Wikipedia_for_Peace_Stockholm_Europride_Results here] for Stockholm and Meta:Wikipedia_for_Peace_Madrid_World_Pride/Results for last year in Madrid.
Identify key people involved in this project. How will or could the wider Wikimedian community be involved?
There will be different Wikimedians involved. Users Shikeishu and Simon04 from Austria. User Sparrow (麻雀) from Germany. DaddyCell from Spain. Sergey.chemkaev from Ukraine. Pauli.pasternak from Poland. Aimeerim1228 from Kyrgysztan. Houssem Abida from Tunesia.
If applicable, identify partnering organisations for this project (not essential)
Organizers of Europride and Wikimedia Sweden. Wikimedia Austria and Wikimedia Germany support the project.

If you feel that there is more information that could be for example resources needed, how successes can be measured, and how it fits in with the aims of Wikimedia and Wikimedia UK. Please note that these answers don't have to be definite now, and can be expanded on in conversation with the programme team.

What targets have you set? What will you measure?
Number of articles and photos. Outcomes of discussions.
What contribution will the project make to our strategic goals?
Connecting UK community to other international communities and spreading diversity.
Who will be recording/measuring the project metrics, and writing up a project report?
Project report will be summarized in the results page. We will probably also write about the event in the Wikimedia blog.
What staff support is being requested?
No.
How can you get other volunteers involved? What roles could they have?
They are already involved and the roles have been distributed.
What meeting or other space is needed?
Nothing.
Are other resources needed (such as computers, books, camera equipment, food, contacts, infrastructure)? How will they be sourced?
--
If any partner organisations have been identified, have they been contacted and are they committed?
Yes.
Does this project require more extensive funding? What would any WMUK funds be used for?
No. Just travel costs of Joel Mitchel.
Are external funds needed that we can apply for? If so where will they be sought?
