Summary
The primary aim of this module is to develop an awareness of the science of human sexuality. We will use an approach that is based on the principles of evolutionary science. Topics can include the evolved psychology of sexual attraction; sexual preferences and fluidity; mating systems and cultural variation; scientific methods for studying sexuality; sexual coercion; psychological adaptation; sexual strategies; women’s dual sexuality; the role of hormones in human sexuality; signal evolution; evolution of mate choice; love and jealousy.
