Introduction

This will be a general planning page to discuss turning delivering membership strategy.

New members pack

We need one! I want new members to have some carefully chosen documentation to give them a good grounding to WMUK, membership obligations and opportunities, and how to edit guides etc. I don't think landing on the UK wiki as a first port of call is the best idea for new people who aren't more experienced Wikimedians - this is based on my instinct, can't prove it unless we do some user experience testing. The content on the pack can be collaboratively written on here (Feel free to make the following page links and have a start - some of it exists already of course!) so the cost implications are more to do with if we pay for any design elements (infographic or structure charts) or if we decide to get fancy with the format (branded USB drives) Katherine Bavage (WMUK) (talk) 14:25, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Format/Delivery

Probably best to presume sending an electronic copy, with the option to have a hard copy version if the recipient requests it. I'd like to either a) Send a pre-loaded usb drive or b) Send a link to a file folders to download from a corporate 'dropbox' type account (suggestions?) I'm not keen on CDs as quite a few people have netbooks/tablets that make this a bit redundant. Katherine Bavage (WMUK) (talk) 14:25, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
