Objectives[edit | edit source]
The aim of this event was to add to the WikiData already created for every individual in the Dictionary of Welsh Biography. This helped make the collection more connected and more searchable using Wikidata and Wikipedia. This event contributed to the hugely important task of connecting important Welsh people to the growing hive of knowledge that is WikiData.
Outcomes[edit | edit source]
Many new Wiki Data fields were added to hundreds of entries and Welsh Labels were added to many entries. Library ICT accessed the Welsh Biography Metadata and worked on setting up a mass transfer of birth and death data to the Wikidata in the near future.
