GLAM Newsletter
The following Newsletters were report to have gone out since the last meeting
The April UK section of the GLAM newsletter is still very much in draft form, press date is expected to be early in the second week of April. GH to request some Scots to contribute whilst Ally Crockford is on holiday

- Good event, Lack of new initiatives other than Wikidata, increased involvement from WMF and beyond Europe, possibly fewer GLAM professionals than previously
Feedback from GLAM Organisers meet in Paris

15 countries attended. GLAM toolset was discussed but will cover that separately.
Near unanimity that the attempt to repurpose editathons as a way to recruit new editors has not worked.
One chapter reported an unsuccessful attempt to do outreach to older people.
Various possibilities for international collaboration were discussed including possibly a pooled bid to Europeana based on one of their themes.
Jonathan drafted the event Organisers Userright as a proposal on phabricator.
Events
The future [[events] programme was discussed including the Scottish_Fairground_Culture_Editathon
Concern was raised at the possibility of the problem having an excessively London focus, JC did explain that the editor base and prospects were skewed to London and that financial pressure might exacerbate that skew.
Legacy of former WIRs was discussed and the importance of linking an ongoing volunteer to a project after the residency
Mass upload latest
Jonathan Cardy reported back on the training events in London in April and the future software development of the GW Toolset.
Technology
Possible opportunity in Yorkshire to use a Scanner. JB might be able to transport one to York in July JC to introduce him to Pat Hadley.
James Heald explained how virtual crops of images might become a Wikidata feature
WIR program
Martin Poulter has started at Bodleian Library
