Talk:Fundraiser job description

I'm confused by number 10 under "Experience". How can having "Experience of working in a charitable or not-for-profit environment" being only "desirable"? I'm not sure how you can meet the first requirement, to have experience fundraising for a charity or non-for-profit, without having experience of working in that environment... Is point 10 intended to say it is desirable if you've had paid work with a charitable/non-profit? --Tango (talk) 21:51, 23 April 2012 (UTC)

There could potentially be candidates who have fundraising experience gained as a volunteer or contractor, but whose careers to date have been in other sectors. It's a bit hair-splitting, though. The Land (talk) 18:04, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
