Talk:Google right to be forgotten consultation

I'm just having a think about this and a couple of things really stand out. Firstly, the ruling so far hasn't been applied to Wikimedia projects and I think it would be best for us if it stayed that way, especially as we don't control, or have responsibility for, the content of the Wikimedia projects. Secondly, it is really interesting that Google itself is running this consultation. Looking for evidence to support a legal challenge? Thirdly, I think it's entirely appropriate that we think about this and consider making a submission. Time frame is a bit unfortunate given Wikimania is on the horizon, but we should see what we can come up with. Thanks for sharing, Simon. Stevie Benton (WMUK) (talk) 11:03, 28 July 2014 (BST)
