Use of voice

It used to be that trustees were voiced in #wikimedia-uk and #wikimedia-uk-board, so they could be spotted easier (and so they could speak in moderated board meetings. This situation appears to have changed recently, though. Mike Peel (talk) 15:08, 10 April 2012 (UTC)

Copying from what I said in the IRC channel

<Thehelpfulone> it's unlikely the channel will be trolled, so it doesn't seem like a good idea to voice everyone and play around with voicing, devoicing etc unless it has a symbolic meaning

<Thehelpfulone> setting +m is not really an effective way to stop trolls, you just need to set +r
