- Do we really need monthly reports to the board? This is administrative work, there shouldn't be anything that needs to be reported to the board. The Chair is responsible for monitoring their work, the rest of us don't need to interfere.
- I think the "ideal candidate" should be able to have either a few years bookkeeping experience or an appropriate bookkeeping qualification. There isn't a great deal of difference between learning it on the job and learning it in a classroom. (Obviously, the length and type of experience or the details of the qualification will be a factor, but one isn't automatically better than the other.)
- Do we need to pay overtime at time and a half? Overtime is usually paid at higher rates to reflect it being at less pleasant times (evenings and weekends), but that isn't the case for a part-time job. The extra hours can be at the same hours of the day and days of the week as regular hours. I think we should just say "extra hours may be available at some times".
