Relationship to the organisational structure
Hi all. I'm a bit confused about how the 'strategic' vs 'operational' models on this page relate to WMUK's organisational structure. Is the strategic model intended to represent the board's work, and the operational model to represent the staff's work? If so, it might be worth closing the loop when it comes to the outcomes and how they relate to the values and mission. If not, then it might be worth making clear what is done by which role in the organisation. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 21:56, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
- The strategic model is a structure designed to help analysis and to guide our thinking rather than an attempt to map onto any specific work that the charity does, or onto any particular roles within the organization. I'll add more of an explanation. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:32, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
Outputs
It might be worth clarifying the outputs section to include something like '... trainers trained. Outputs are not what the organisation aims for, and they are not a measure of its success, but they are what its activities produce. If our Activities .... Mike Peel (talk) 21:56, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
- Hope you don't mind I'm just adding your sig to that. Looking at the description of 'outputs' there I agree some further explanation is probably warranted. How's something like: "Outputs are not what the organisation aims for, but they are the direct products of our activities. As such, while our aim is progress on outcomes, our outputs may provide a proxy measure for this progress." Cheers Sjgknight (talk) 07:26, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
- Done (I hope). I have incorporated the point by slightly re-drafting both the Output and the Outcome sections. Please read both. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:26, 21 February 2014 (UTC)
