Day of the week
Who do we think is going to go to this editathon? It starts at 10:45 on a Tuesday. A large proportion of our target audience will be at work. Or am I missing something? Yaris678 (talk) 13:01, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
- We are going with the suggestion from the organiser here - I'd imagine attendees may be people who would treat this event as a part of their professional contribution to spreading the knowledge about Women in Science (and so wouldn't necessarily need to take a day off to attend - good point). Hopefully it will work - there are 10 people registered so far. Daria Cybulska (WMUK) (talk) 09:44, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- If there are ten people registered already then it looks like there is nothing to worry about. Should be a good day. I don't think I will be able to deliver the training though as I will have to go to work. Yaris678 (talk) 19:51, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- With the greying of the pedia we should get more used to the idea that some of of our trainers and many of the people who we want to reach out to are retired and may actually prefer day time events like this. That doesn't mean that all events should be daytime, but some should be. Jonathan Cardy (WMUK) (talk) 11:39, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Same as Yaris here with regards it being during the working day. I also have concerns about the topic here - I'd much rather see this sort of event/audience focus more on improving medical articles than BLPs. Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 19:23, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
