Medical Research Council Workshop

The Medical Research Council has called in Wikimedia UK volunteers to deliver training workshops, based on the Cancer Research UK Workshop run earlier in 2011. At these workshops, MRC-funded scientists and science communicators took their first steps contributing to Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia. The workshop was also an opportunity to discuss the big picture of what the Wikimedia projects are trying to achieve. The first of the workshops happened on 1 July 2011, the second took place on 30 November 2011.
The contact for these events in MRC is Matt Jukes. The contact in Wikimedia UK is Martin Poulter, martin.poulter@wikimedia.org.uk .
