Project description
Send someone to Bovington museum tankfest 2015 to get photos of videos of tanks in motion. Tanks generals photograph better if you can be a reasonable distance from them (10s of meters) tankfest offers both the opportunity to photograph them at some distance and to video them in motion.

- A number of videos of historic tanks on the move combined with high quality photos
Measures of success
Please provide a list of measurable criteria that will be used to determine how successful the project is. You will need to report on the success of the project according to these measures after the project is completed. Measures of success:
- find someone actualy prepared to go (poke WP:milhist)
- At least 5 photos of tanks good enough to lead the relevant articles on the english wikipedia and at least 2 videos of tanks in motion that make it into english wikipedia articles (I'm sorry I have no idea what the state of relevant articles is on other languages spoken in the UK)

Impact and benefits
- How will this project support Wikimedia UK's Outcomes, charitable objects and vision, values and mission?
- High quality images and videos of tanks that can be used to improve articles articles across a range of languages. While Bovington no longer runs is WW1 tanks it does run a replica and a high quality video would be useful for the centenary
Update?
Hi Geni, is this grant application still live, or could it be closed? You will see from the Grants page that grants can be paid only to members of the charity, so you'd either need to join or include in the grant proposal a member who would receive the funds. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 14:31, 28 May 2015 (BST)
- I contacted Geni by email about the grant and it is being archived for the moment, though may be reopened next year when there is more capacity available. Richard Nevell (WMUK) (talk) 15:37, 28 May 2015 (BST)
