On OTRS I answered a letter from a donor who wanted to cancel her donation when she saw we work with Cancer Research UK because they do research using live animals. We may not want to give Cancer Research UK such a prominent place in our report. Filceolaire (talk) 11:50, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I believe objections to animal testing in medical research (as opposed to cosmetics, etc.) is fairly minor. There is a small mention at w:en:Cancer Research UK#Animal testing of a campaign to stop people donating to them, but I don't think we really need to worry. I expect the number of people that think it is really good that we're working with charities like Cancer Research UK will outweigh the number that have a problem with it. --Tango (talk) 14:02, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with Fæ here. I don't think we should take such concerns into account with the annual report as they're not at all relevant to the work that WMUK is engaged in with organisations like CRUK. (I also say this as someone that is generally against animal testing.) Mike Peel (talk) 10:16, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
