Pro rata
This job is 14 hours power week for 6 months and £26k pa pro rata. Does that mean £!3k over 6 months? Or is the pay scaled by the hours too? What are the standard hours? Yaris678 (talk) 13:48, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- I suspect it's scaled by the number of hours. A rough calculation would be £26,000/(35*52)=£14.29/hr so the total amount here is approximately 26*14*14.29=£5,201.56. Of course, that's just an opinion on how these sort of things are calculated. ;-) Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 15:18, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Yaris and Mike. Thanks for the comments. Yaris, the pay is indeed scaled according to hours worked. The standard hours are flexible with an expectation the successful applicant manages their time effectively. Mike, your method is indeed correct, although without rounding the figure comes out at £5,200 for the period. Thanks both! Stevie Benton (WMUK) (talk) 12:05, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
