Not part of the meeting notes, but Harry, Leutha and I chatted to Daria at the Wikimeet in the afternoon and she was enthusiastic about the ideas we'd discussed in the morning. --ErrantX (talk) 10:17, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Potential clash

There have been some hints that the Train the Trainers event qwill be happening on 9th/10th June. This may cause a clash?Leutha (talk) 12:54, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Remit of Wikiconference

Perhaps would clarify the remit of WikiConferences UK:

It was suggested that the committee devote time, in general, to UK conferences over the next two years.

How does that relate to the organisation processes of

I don't think we want to step on anyone's toes, so perhaps we should be checking with people involved in these other conferences to see how they would like to relate to this new initiative and then take it from there.Leutha (talk) 13:25, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

That seems a completely logical step. My impression from our discussions was that a) we're going to end up gaining a lot of conference experience over the next two years and b) other areas of the community might want to make use of that experience. So if someone wants to organise a conference they could ask the committee for assistance/advice. Whether GLAM or EduWIki are interested (obviously not this year!) in that or not is very much up to them :) I do have a note in my book much along the lines of "don't step on existing toes", so I will add that to the page. (on a practical note; the two conferences this year already seem well organised and otherwise "sorted", I think we talked about future schedules). --ErrantX (talk) 13:49, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
