Trustee induction

I see that Peter Williams is nominally down to lead this. I'm not entirely sure why this is the case, particularly given that the last trustee induction session was provided by Midas rather than Peter? Perhaps there has been confusion between PQASSO and the standard trustee induction? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 21:06, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Expression of interest

I'd like to attend, though possibly not for both days. I'd like to speak very briefly about the time and date of the September board meeting if I may, and I might have something to add on the topic of Wikimania/conferences (but other than that I'll keep my mouth shut, I promise!). Harry Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:02, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Of course you're very welcome to come and it would be lovely to have you, but if you have an idea about the September board meeting you might as well post it here (or raise it by email if that's inappropriate). We don't tend to spend long talking about them! The Land (talk) 21:06, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, Chris. I'd like to bring you all to Coventry, but Rock drum and I are working on the logistics, so I might not have a solid proposal as such before this meeting. Harry Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:39, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
Sunday will be the business day, Saturday is Trustee induction and training, a chance for the new board to get to know each other and get some basic briefings. Jon Davies WMUK (talk) 08:36, 25 June 2012 (UTC)
Sunday is also the day of the week on which it's nearly impossible to get a train to London before lunchtime, and I'm quite interested in some of the items on the agenda for Sunday morning. I would prefer to Skype in for just the parts I'm interested in, but my experience is that remote participation hen everybody else can see the whites of each other's eyes doesn't work well. So I'll come down, and if I'm getting in the way, feel free to suggest I go for a walk. :) Harry Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:19, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Checked with Fae about Saturday he is happy for you to come along "HJM is welcome to observe anything apart from matters in camera. No expenses possible though, unless he's presenting."

You may find it interesting watching the trustees training(as a Rochard or is it Davd Attenborough) but I really suspect not! Jon Davies WMUK (talk) 06:59, 27 June 2012 (UTC)
